The Robinson Way: “It Feels Like Family”
When Bella joined Robinson nine months ago as a welder and fabricator, she discovered more than just a workplace. She found a welcoming environment that feels like family.
“It’s very warm and welcoming. Everybody is super nice,” adding that the culture immediately made her feel at home.
Bella joined the Robinson team after working in another manufacturing environment. And she noticed something different at Robinson right away.
“I didn’t notice people smiling at my last job. It was head down, and that’s what you do. But here, everybody gets along, everybody works together, there’s teamwork. Everybody helps everybody.”
Working the 4/11 day shift allows Bella to maintain important family connections. Her schedule aligns with her mom’s, and since she lives with her parents, they get the chance to spend time together outside of work. Though the early mornings can be challenging, she appreciates the benefits of the schedule. They’re worth the early “off” time, according to Bella!
As a female welder, Bella has found a natural fit within the Robinson team. The welcoming culture and collaborative environment made it easy to settle in and focus on her craft. She says she enjoys working alongside teammates who support one another and take pride in their work.
Plus, the Robinson Training Academy (RTA) helped ease her transition, and her coordinator, Corey Richards, continues to provide guidance.
Pride in craftsmanship runs deep at Robinson, and Bella feels it too.
“Seeing a job well done… hearing some of the assemblers talk about my welds… that’s always nice. My work contributes to something bigger. Everybody fits into all the pieces. It’s one big project for everybody.”
Looking ahead, Bella sees clear growth opportunities within Robinson. She plans to utilize the company’s education assistance program to become a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).
When asked to describe Robinson in three words, Bella doesn’t hesitate: “Accepting, teamwork, and calm. It’s just such a good work environment.”
