Meet Paul

Paul - Robinson Production Coordinator
Job Title: Production Coordinator

Trust Makes All the Difference

When Paul talks about his 15-year career at Robinson, one word keeps coming up: Trust.

“If I had to nail down one thing, I trust Robinson more than any place I’ve ever worked. I’m building a life, and I trust that when I wake up in the morning, go to work, I still have a job. They’re stable.”

As a Production Coordinator, Paul leads a crew focused on keeping product moving, but his journey at Robinson started quite differently. After completing Northeast Wisconsin Technical College’s (NWTC) metal fabrication program and a brief stint at another company, Paul joined Robinson in assembly. It was in the midst of a recession, which made him feel especially grateful for the job.

But what started as an opportunity for stable employment evolved into a fulfilling career path.

Over the years, Paul has worked across multiple divisions where he helped implement automation and robotics. Besides this variety, professional development has been a constant throughout Paul’s journey, from advanced welding courses at NWTC to soft skills like conflict resolution.

“Robinson has given us a ton of additional training. You name it, they’ve exposed us to it.”

This commitment to employee growth extends to the new Robinson Training Academy (RTA), which Paul sees as a valuable addition.

“I like that there’s standardized benchmarks for new employees… everybody comes out of the RTA qualified for all the welding that we do.”

But it’s the people who make Robinson special for Paul.

“My favorite part about Robinson is the people. Every day is different, every day has struggles, but the guys I work with, they’re always the reason I show up.”

This appreciation for teamwork extends to the leadership approach he learned from his own mentor, who taught him to show empathy for his colleagues. That support system at Robinson has left a lasting impression.

“You never feel like you’re on your own. If I have a problem, it’s OUR problem, not my problem. You’re not on an island – that’s a big phrase for us.”

This collaborative approach, combined with the freedom to problem-solve and innovate, creates an environment where employees can truly thrive.

Currently working a four-day schedule to complement his wife’s work schedule and manage their children’s needs, Paul appreciates Robinson’s flexibility. He believes that having schedule options that support work-life balance matters.

Looking ahead, Paul sees unlimited growth potential at Robinson. His advice for future employees is simple: “Do it – just apply. What do you have to lose? I’ve spent 15 years of my life here, and I fully intend to spend 15 more. And I’m not regretting it.”
