Robinson culture

Robinson

Committed to excellence

The Robinson team is made up of an incredible group of people who believe that work is an opportunity for personal growth and that work-life balance is essential to ongoing success.

One of those incredible people is Wayne, an electrician journeyman with over 30 years of experience in manufacturing.

After leaving life on the farm, Wayne joined the Navy, where he received his training as an electrician. From there, Wayne applied his skills to building luxury motor yachts, installing electrical for a garage door manufacturer, and overseeing overhead crane maintenance.

Throughout this diverse and fruitful career, Wayne raised six children and welcomed eight grandchildren. Wayne’s commitment to his family, desire for a better work-life balance, and drive for professional growth finally brought him to Robinson.

Having worked in many different manufacturing environments, Wayne immediately saw why and how Robinson stands out from the rest —

“They take really good care of you here. It’s very much an employee-driven culture. We’re all working as a team to build something and get something out the door. We’re all proud of what we put out into the world.”

With a commitment to ongoing professional development, Wayne became a journeyman at Robinson. He also saw an opportunity to take his expertise and experience in cranes and garage doors and apply it to Robinson’s maintenance department, a position Wayne truly loves.

“I get to make sure everyone is safe and gets to go home to their families.”

Wayne is now developing systems with the maintenance and safety departments to ensure more streamlined processes for safety verification and protocols. He also mentors new team members, giving them the support and guidance they need to reach the next stage of career success.

“If there’s one thing I would tell people about Robinson, is that working here is a great opportunity to make a change. It’s a great place to get started and learn.”

Above and beyond career development, Wayne sees Robinson as an employer that’s invested in helping their team live the life they want to live.

“I’m happy here, and I love coming to work every day. It’s not just the work. It’s the relationships we build here. It’s a good culture and crew committed to great communication and support.”

Part of that supportive culture is Robinson’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan. Wayne isn’t just a valued member of the Robinson team; he’s a shareholder in the business, which means that Wayne’s professional growth will be matched with financial growth that will set Wayne and his family up for a bright financial future.

“At Robinson, you are an owner of the company. That makes us all very proud. And we want people who come to Robinson who value mentorship, want to become leaders, and take pride in their work.”
